Funding for individual coaching sessions

A successful academic career on the path towards professorship not only requires excellent subject-related skills but also involves developing strategies and personal skills. In terms of their career planning, young female researchers often find themselves in extremely different situations and individual coaching tailored to their needs and provided by a professional coach is an important component in many ways to help them get on the right track in their careers.

  • Target group: Funding is intended for female postdoctoral researchers, habilitation candidates and assistant professors not on the tenure track.|
From July to December, advanced doctoral candidates can also apply for funding for individual coaching sessions.
  • Topics covered in coaching sessions: Individual consultation on aspects relevant to career development such as time management, leadership and balancing research and family life.
  • Scope: The coaching consists of individual sessions of 90 minutes each. We recommend at least three sessions to ensure that you can work on your subject as sustainably as possible.
  • Amount of funding: The maximum funding amount per application is €1,000. Applicants can take advantage of the funding measure once during the term of the target agreements (2023 – 2027). This may vary in justified cases.
